What to do when we're closed

Please telephone 01689 850012 at all times. Our out of normal hours calls are handled by the duty doctor at EMDOC. This is a local GP Cooperative run by Bromley Primary Care Trust (PCT) and is substantially staffed by local GPs.  You may speak to a Doctor or Nurse for advice or may be asked to attend their base next to the Accident & Emergency Department at The Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough.

For General advice you can also speak to a Nurse at NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or visit their website by clicking here.

Home Visits

If you feel that you need a home visit then please telephone before 10:30 am so that we can plan our day. It helps us to judge the urgency of calls if you describe your symptoms so expect to be asked by our Receptionist.

Please remember that a surgery consultation is more effective than one at home. We really appreciate it when patients come to the surgery rather than ask us to visit, as we can see more patients and will see you sooner. Please try to attend whenever possible. If you have no transport please try to find a friend or neighbour to bring you. Home Visits are done by the duty doctor and it is not possible to request a specific doctor for a home visit.

If you are not sure if you need a visit, it may be helpful to speak to a doctor on the telephone first. They are usually available between 11.30am and 12.00 noon. Telephone consultations are becoming increasingly popular and may save both you and the doctor time.
